Andrea Hankins traveled all over San Diego County going to farmers' markets to sell the dates she and her husband grow in the Imperial Valley. But the longtime Santee resident couldn't understand why Santee didn't have a market. She tried to get the city to create one, but no luck. Finally, she took matters into her own hands.
