Rio de Janeiro will spread its arms wide to welcome the world in just four short years

With the London Olympics now complete, Rio de Janeiro is on deck to host the XXXI Olympiad -- and the first ever in South America -- in 2016. Though Rio appears far behind schedule for many of its most important venues, the Brazilians say not to worry, everything will be OK. One thing is certain, however: the beaches, the blue skies and green mountains will provide a beautiful backdrop far different than the London Games.
