After two years of training, a once-bossy little puppy named Atti is ready to start her career as a service dog

It takes a lot of training to prepare a dog to become a service companion for a man or woman confined to a wheelchair and in need of help. But after two years of work, Atti, a golden retriever-Labrador mix -- who can fetch the phone, open doors and pick up and retrieve objects -- is now ready to be paired with a lifelong human companion. And Charli King, Atti's trainer, says her former bossy puppy is good to go. My story for U-T San Diego's pets page: http://www.utsandiego.com/news/2013/oct/18/service-dog-training/
