Only a few of the hardiest marathon swimmers have accomplished the triple crown of open-water swimming

The English Channel, Catalina Channel and Manhattan Marathon Island Swim make up the unofficial triple crown of open-water marathon swimming. Each presents a different challenge and conditions, and fewer than 100 swimmers have completed all three.
