Longtime two-sport Paralympian Allison Jones settling into being "just" a cyclist and focusing on 2016 Games in Rio

Allison Jones has been to seven Paralympics as a medal-winning downhill skier and track cyclist. But she's now retired from competitive skiing to focus totally on cycling and making the team for Rio de Janeiro in 2016. When Lisa Hallett's husband was killed in Afghanistan, the only way she found she could cope was by running. Five years later, she's an Ironman triathlete and marathoner

Lisa Hallett was left with three small children in 2009 when her husband was killed in Afghanistan. To cope, she'd go on long runs to calm her nerves and clear her thoughts. Eventually she did marathons and became a triathlete, just completing the Ironman World Championships in Hawaii. Along the way, too, she's helped thousands of other military families who have lost loved ones with an organization she co-founded called Wear Blue: Run to Remember. In the Olympic 5,000 meters at Tokyo in 1964, American Bob Schul was boxed in at the start of the final lap, then broke outside and surged to the front, picking off the top runners in the world, one by one, to win the gold medal. It's the only gold ever won by a U.S. runner in the event, and the victory capped an amazing season by Schul -- which has long been overlooked.
