What do military members do with their pets when deployed overseas? They can call on Dogs on Deployment to find temporary foster homes

Alisa and Shawn Johnson, both pilots in the military, found themselves deployed at the same time. Fortunately, they had a relative who could take their dog. But they thought, what would a service member do if he didn't have someone to help out? So, they started the nonprofit group Dogs on Deployment. Today, it pairs military pet owners with foster families all across the United States.
