Keys to health are exercise, diet, social network, sleep ... and having a pet? Research is showing there are multiple health benefits for humans to have an animal friend

For years there has been anecdotal evidence showing that pets make people happier, more energetic and healthier. Now serious scientific research is showing dogs, cats, rabbits, birds -- almost any pet -- has many positive effects on human health.
