Pooches at the park bring out smiles in baseball fans
When the Chicago White Sox decided to try out a Dog Day at New Comiskey Park in the mid-1990s, they had no idea how popular it would be. Soon, other teams in the minors and majors were inviting fans to bring their dogs to a game, too. Now, it's a popular day -- or series of popular days -- for teams throughout baseball. My story for ESPN.com's Playbook section. http://espn.go.com/blog/playbook/fandom/post/_/id/5881/at-baseball-stadiums-the-dog-days-are-here
