Fighting to keep her store alive
Deena White opened her children's bookstore, Readers Inc., three years ago in La Mesa's Village. But the uphill battle against changing reading habits and the recession has her worried that her beloved store may soon have to close its doors. That's why she hung up a banner outside, with a plea for support.
