Close-knit Greek family is recipe for Omelette Factory's success
Jimmy, Peter and Penny Giforos are the siblings that make the Omelette Factory run in Santee, but it goes far beyond that trio. The entire extended clan has contributed to make the restaurant a favorite of diners in the area since in opened in 1994. For Jimmy Giforos, the restaurant business has been in his blood since birth, when his parents ran a coffee shop in Chicago and he remembers making milkshakes for customers when he was just a kid. My story in the "On the Job" series for Santee Patch: http://santee.patch.com/articles/omelette-factory-s-winning-recipe-starts-with-family#photo-10793462
