Andrew McGuire started McWire Electric in 1999 in Santee, the same year he and his wife moved to the city. In the years since, the company has grown dramatically, fueled in large part by McGuire's early belief in the installation of solar energy systems. In a way, he followed in the footsteps of his father, also an electrician, and learned much of what he knows about the business -- and people -- from his dad.
